Spring in the Valley
Signs of Early Spring April 30th
There is nothing better than when spring starts a little early. Today was the first O-cup race of the season check it out at http://www.chicoracing.com/html/index.php Lesley didn't go. It was a perfect weekend for spring cleaning. Brad was freed from the drugery to pursue his challenges.
Here are our pansies showing off their spring colours.
This is just a lanscaping marvel. These are the willow twigs that I bought for Christmas 05, yes a year and a half ago for some visual interest with my fir boughs. Last year, I stuck them in a pot for a Zen, dried twig effect. It seems they rooted. Not only did they thrive last summer, they wintered over and are surviving this spring. When you want something to live, it dies and when you want twigs, you get healthy trees, go figure.
Here is the great orange hunter checking out the spring greens. He is basically trying to find what he can eat that will produce the biggest stain on the new carpet.
The true sign that it is spring is the bird turning on the spit. There is something in Brad's genes that enables him to produce the best tasting chicken on a spit. Perhaps it was something his Dad learned from working at Haugen's. Whatever, any Sunday evening this summer, you will find us out front mopping the bird for dinner.
Egar is worth a second picture!
